NEONOIR is a small neon store. We carry few pieces, we make all of the creative for them ourselves, and we point paid traffic at it — cinematic room photography and ad cuts, produced here, for your work, at no cost to you. You ship the orders. We never touch them.

What you get

Almost all neon is sold against a white wall.

Lit flat, shot square on, in a room with the lights on — which is the one condition under which neon looks like nothing. Nobody buys a sign for how it photographs at noon. It is the easiest thing to beat in this category, and it is why we do it ourselves.

Room photography

Your piece on a real wall, in a real room, after dark — lit by nothing but itself. Not a white background, and not a render pretending to be one.

A page of its own

Not a row in a grid on a marketplace. A page built for the piece, tuned to the colour it throws, next to nothing else competing for the same buyer.

Ad creative

Video hooks and statics cut for paid social, run on our account with our budget. What performs is what we learn, and we tell you either way.

You keep every file. Use them on your own site, your campaign page, anywhere you like. No licence fee, no exclusivity, no invoice.

Why it’s free

There is no catch, but there is a reason.

We make our money on the margin when your piece sells, not on making pictures of it. In paid social the creative is most of the difference between a piece that sells and one that quietly loses money — so the shoot is us paying, up front and at our own risk, for the only thing that decides whether either of us earns anything.

If it doesn’t work, we spent the shoot and the ad budget. You spent one piece and some postage, and you keep the work.

What we look for

We stock a handful of pieces at a time.

A small catalogue is the point, not a stage we are passing through. Every piece gets its own shoot and its own page, and that only works if there are few of them.

  • Neon you shape — signs, words, sculptural pieces
  • Bent by you, not pulled from a catalogue
  • It has to look like it belongs in a dark room
  • Rope and strip too, if it isn’t the same reel everyone else is selling
  • A dealer price, and you ship direct to the buyer
  • Made to order is fine — we just need to know your turnaround
  • Ships from or into North America
  • On Kickstarter? Talk to us before fulfilment ends, not after

How it works

  1. 01

    You send one piece

    That is the whole ask. We don’t advertise neon we haven’t had switched on in the room.

  2. 02

    We shoot it

    Photography, the page, and a first set of ad cuts. Around two weeks from the sample landing.

  3. 03

    It goes live, and you get the files

    Its own page here, and every asset delivered to you at full resolution the same day — yours to keep and use anywhere.

  4. 04

    We buy traffic. You ship the orders

    Orders come to you at your dealer price, and you ship them direct — we never hold stock. If it doesn’t sell, the shoot and the ad budget were our loss and the files are still yours.
